Lane Late oranges are part of the Navel family, a variety of blond pulp orange, they are characterised by the presence of the navel on the bottom of the orange. This characteristic means that inside Lane Late oranges, like navel oranges, there are small segments between the larger ones. They take their funny and curious name from their discoverer.
Lane Late oranges begin to ripen around March, hence they are also called “spring oranges” or “queen of the beautiful season” because it has a very high sugar content and it is very juicy, particularly recommended for delicious orange juices.
